Overview

The 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) will be hosted by the Parliament of South Africa and the CPA South Africa Branch in Cape Town from 13 to 18 September 2026. 

During the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, there will also be a number of additional conferences and meetings including: 

  • 2026 CPA General Assembly and general debate
  • meetings of the CPA Executive Committee
  • CPC Workshops
  • 42nd CPA Small Branches Conference
  • 10th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference
  • meetings of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disabilities (CPwD) network
  • 60th Society of Clerks at the Table (SoCATT) meeting
  • presentation of the 2026 Commonwealth Parliamentarian of the Year awards
  • 4th CPA Lifaka Lecture

Invitations, Nominations and Registration

  • Invitations to the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference will be issued to all eligible CPA Branches from the CPA President on behalf of the host Branch, CPA South Africa.
  • Nominations and Registrations for the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference will open for delegates in advance of the Conference.

CPC Theme and Workshop Topics

  • CPA Branches have been invited to submit proposals for a theme for the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference and suggestions for Workshop Topics to be held at the event. Please submit your suggestions here.
